Say Hello to the House on Hunt Ave

So… we’re doing a thing!

We searched, we offered, we closed. And now that it’s officially official, we can finally share the news – we’re flipping a house!

Luke and I have talked for years about wanting to try our hand at the house flipping business. With his talent for all things home improvement and my love for interior decorating, it’s always seemed like a no brainer. The only problem, of course, was the biggest problem to have – we were never in a financial position to follow through with the dream.

Until now.

Okay, let me back up a bit. We’re still not totally in the financial position to do this alone, which is why we’ve joined forces with Luke’s aunt and uncle – who also have always been intrigued by the thought of flipping a house – to get our feet wet (or should I say “dip a toe”?). We’re going 50/50 on everything with a goal to be finished in six months. Lofty? Yes. Doable? We hope so!

We are excited, optimistic, and a little bit nervous (in a good way) to see how this shakes out. Without further adieu, say hello to the House on Hunt Avenue. Her full potential is hiding under there somewhere, and we’re ready to uncover it!

I’ll be sharing the house room by room here soon (brace yourselves!), along with the inspiration for the finished space. In the meantime, you can follow along with our progress on Instagram using #HouseOnHuntAve. I can’t promise it’ll always be pretty, but if all goes as planned, it will be worth it in the end!
