Summer is right around the corner; and as per usual, we’re prepping for a summer packed full of family adventures. Last year, we did a bit of National Park hopping and went to Shenandoah and Acadia with a pitstop in the Adirondacks in-between. This year we’re switching things up and slowing down the pace by spending an entire month in our favorite place in the world.
We will be calling the ADK home from July 1-31st. Most of our time will be spent at the KOA, where I can set up my office on the picnic table and reap in the rewards of working remotely. We are hoping to spend a lot of time hiking (Luke finishing up his 46er challenge and Marleigh hopefully becoming a Saranac 6er before the summer is over), kayaking/canoeing, and just getting back to the basics while spending tons of quality family time together.
There will also, of course, be a lot of playing in the dirt. As one does.
We’re gearing up for the big trip by camping locally as often as possible (or at least as much as the inconsistent WNY weather allows). Here are a few photos from our camping adventures this season so far!
