The Christmas season is full of hustle and bustle. While it’s certainly the most wonderful time of the year, it also has the potential to be the most stressful. Making sure we check off everyone on our gift list is no easy feat! Thanks to an uber-organized husband and the help of Amazon Prime, we’re officially done Christmas shopping and can now focus on other things – like addressing Christmas cards and wrapping. all. the. things.
Despite the fact that I can usually be found wrapping presents until 2AM on Christmas Eve, one thing I’ve learned since adulting at Christmas time is that being prepared helps me truly appreciate the season. Since we usually have a few different places to visit for holiday celebrations, I like to stock up on hostess gifts and little extras to have on hand and reduce the guilt of being empty-handed if an unexpected guest swings by or we somehow forgot someone on our list!
One of my favorite things to bring as a hostess gift is a good bottle of wine. Red, white, blush, bubbly – you just can’t go wrong! These selections from Wente Vineyards are delicious and just the right price-point: not so inexpensive that they seem (or taste) cheap, but not so pricey that they’d break your Christmas budget.
To add a personal touch and keep hostess gifts from feeling like an afterthought, I also like to add something extra. Whether it’s a festive glass, a fun wine stopper, or a simple bottle tag, a little bit goes a long way in making your hostess gift(s) feel more personal! For this year, I whipped up a quick tag that matches our Christmas wrapping paper with a little bit of shimmer. A quick hole punch and a bit of bakers twine tie it all together (literally), turning a classic bottle of wine into the perfect giftable item!

They pair perfectly with Wente Vineyards wine to bring to your holiday functions. Pro tip: While you’re at the liquor store, it would also be wise to treat yourself to bottle or two for those late-night present wrapping sessions!
