Our Father’s Day tradition for the past couple years has been packing up and heading to Evangola State Park for a weekend of our favorite family pastime: camping. This year, we had some special visitors for our stay – because cousins, aunts, and uncles make everything more fun!
The weather for our weekend staycation was perfect (although admittedly even a little too hot). We spent a good chunk of the time watching the kids play on the playground, swatting away black flies, sipping wine around the bonfire, and soaking in the glorious sunshine at the beach.
Getting away for the weekend made me even more excited for our big trip – which we’re leaving for tomorrow!
More on that to come, but for now… a few photos for your viewing pleasure:
We’ll take any excuse we can get to celebrate this guy 😉
I can’t wait to head to our next destination and share our summer plans, but duty calls. I’m off to wrap up my client work before we go off the grid for 7 days!
